Learn the Basics of Using a 3D Printer!

48 US dollars
Broken Canon Cosplay WORKSHOP

Service Description

We will talk about how a 3D printer works, different features, brands, and models of printers that are best suited to cosplay and prop-making (as opposed to 3D printing as a hobby on its own), different types of filament (PLA, ABS, TPU, Flexible PLA, ASA) and their typical print settings (nozzle and bed temperatures, considerations like speed and retraction) and applications as well as typical recommended print settings for cosplay and props (walls, infill, support, and brims). Finally, I’ll show you how to level the printing bed and load the filament to start a print as well as how to troubleshoot print failures. We will go over why a basic understanding of the scientific method, esp. eliminating and controlling for variables, is important to your success as you 3D print.
